Trade Tech has developed a cost effective online application to meet the new 24-Hour Rule Advance Manifest System (AMS) for Mexico, which, effective September 1st, requires manifests be filed electronically 24 hours prior to cargo loading for Mexican Customs Authorities. The application is currently the only alternative to filing directly through the web site of the Asociación Mexicana de Agentes Navieros AC (AMANAC).
Trade Tech created its Mexico Cargo Security Filing solution for freight forwarders, ship operators and beneficial cargo owners to help them save time and money and meet Mexico’s specific online filing requirements.
Mexico’s 24-Hour AMS also requires that data be entered manually. According to CEO Bryn Heimbeck, Trade Tech does all of the manual entry and its customers’ confidential shipper and consignee information is protected.
Trade Tech’s existing cargo security filing applications allow logistics providers and shippers to integrate operating systems with each country’s Customs to file cargo manifests, including the port of arrival/departure, Bill of Lading numbers, description and weight of cargo and names of shippers/consignees prior to loading (on ocean shipments) of prior to takeoff or landing (on air shipments depending on origins).
