Shock deaths

Two workers at Ghana’s Tema Shipyard have died after being electrocuted.

The separate incidents took place at the shiprepair facility last week, the GNA news agency said.

The names of the men have not been released and the contractor who employed them was not
Yard sources said one man died while pulling on an exposed cable, while the second was working on an electrical appliance.

The country’s Railway and Harbours police force has begun an investigation into the accidents. Post-mortems will be carried out at the local morgue.
