Freight Systems announces strategic management changes; UTi Worldwide appoints a new chairman; CEVA expands contract logistics business development team.

The Freight Systems group has announced the following management changes:

Warren Jacob, currently UAE-based regional director MENA, has been appointed vice president APAC, based in Singapore. He has been with the company for more than ten years.
Sushant Malik replaces Jacob as regional director for MENA, in addition to handling his current portfolio as head of airfreight for the group. Prior to joining Freight Systems in 2004, he was director of sales for the Middle East region for KLM.
UTi Worldwide has announced that J Simon Stubbings, will retire at the end of his term as chairman in June, after ten years of service on the board.

MJ “Tiger” Wessels will assume the role of chairman, effective in June, and phase out his day-to-day management responsibilities in order to help guide the company through these changes and provide more strategic leadership.

CEVA has hired three new business development executives to meet the growing market demand for contract logistics:

Tamara Histand has been appointed director of global automotive accounts, based in Southfield, Michigan. Prior to joining CEVA, Ms Histand spent six years with Ford Motor Co, seven years with Deloitte Consulting and nine years with GE Aircraft Engines.
Rick Allen has joined CEVA as business development director for automotive in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to joining CEVA, Allen was director of global logistics strategy for Cummins Filtration. Before that, he was with i2 Technologies, MagneTek and Manugistics.
David Eaton has been appointed business development director in the Chicago, Illinois area. Eaton joins CEVA after seventeen years with Ryder System.
