K-Line Launches Asia-Black Sea service

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line) will launch a new container service between Asia and the Black Sea, in partnership with Yang Ming, China Shipping and ZIM.

Commencing mid-September, the new service will deploy seven 4,000 TEU vessels on a fixed-day weekly frequency. The port rotation will be: Shanghai > Ningbo > Shekou > Nansha > Port Kelang > Istanbul > Constanza > Ilyichevsk > (Shanghai). K-Line will provide one vessel to the service; the other six will be provided by China Shipping, Yang Ming and ZIM. K-Line currently provides its own Black Sea Express (BSX) feeder service between Port Said, Egypt, and Black Sea ports.
